‘हर काम देश के नाम’ GRADUATION PARADE OF TECHNICAL OFFICERS HELD AT AIR FORCE TECHNICAL COLLEGE, BENGALURU*
Bengaluru, 21 Jan 2023 To mark the culmination of 74 weeks of training, a ceremonial Passing-Out-Parade (POP) of 209/21T/Permanent Commission & Short Service Commission / 99 Aeronautical Engineering Course was held at Air Force Technical College, Bangalore on 21 January 2023. A total of 112 Engineering Officers including nine foreign officers successfully completed their training and passed out from the College with flying colours.
Air Force Technical College is a premiere Training Institute under Training Command, Bangalore and alma mater of all Aeronautical Engineering Officers of the Indian Air Force.
The parade was reviewed by Air Marshal R Radhish, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Training Command and witnessed by esteemed dignitaries, officials, air warriors, parents & relatives of passing out officers. On arrival, the Reviewing Officer was received by Air Commodore Ratnesh Gupta, Commandant of the College. The parade also had Flypast display by Dornier aircraft and a Sky diving demonstration by ‘Air Devil’ team of Indian Air Force.
The Reviewing Officer congratulated all passing out officers and awarded trophies and medallion to the officers who excelled in different fields. The prestigious ‘President’s Plaque’ for first in order of combined merit and the Chief of Air Staff Medal for first in the order of merit in Electronics stream were awarded to Flying Officer Mohd Aijaj Khan. The ‘Vice President’s Sword’ for the best in professional subjects as well as Chief of Air Staff Medal for first in the order of merit in Mechanical stream were awarded to Flying Officer Deepanshu Tyagi.
Later the Air Marshal addressed the passing out officers. In his address, he emphasised on the extensive role of Engineering Officers towards ensuring the operational readiness of aircraft, unimpaired serviceability of military equipment, upkeep of weapon systems and induction of modern technological instruments in both peacetime as well as during war. He exhorted the young Engineering Officers to enhance their professional acumen and keep pace with technological advancements to scale further heights. -x- DPRO/BLR/PS/SP
